The Michigan Sheriffs' Association and the Beverly Hills Police are pleased to introduce the STOPPED program (Sheriffs Telling Our Parents and Promoting Educated Drivers). If your child gets stopped for a driving infraction, you will get a notification from the police department.

Effective May 1, 2007 handgun purchase permits and registrations for Beverly Hills residents can be obtained at the front desk of the public safety building Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 6:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Beverly Hills DPS was recently honored by a visit from Congressional Representative Gary C. Peters. During his visit Representative Peters chatted with on duty officers then presented the department with an American flag that had been flown over the State of Michigan Capitol Building. This flag is now proudly flown in front of the Beverly Hills Public Safety building.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

The Beverly Hills Public Safety Department will be having introductory meetings for the re-establishment of the Neighborhood Watch program. The program is organized nationally by the National Sheriff’s Association under the title USAOnWatch. Locally the Beverly Hills Public Safety Department will be assisting neighborhoods in organizing and teaching citizens how to make our community a safer environment.

Adopt a Senior
(A BHDPS officer's association program)

 

The Beverly Hills Public Safety Adopt-A-Senior program is designed to improve the safety of seniors, provide assistance to those in need, and forge friendships with those who may live alone or are widowed. The program was created by the police officers union and is administered by officers and dispatchers. It is supported by donations from the community.

If you know a senior who may be in need of assistance or lives alone please contact the Police Department to make a referral. Enrollment in the Adopt A Senior Program is free and voluntary. Donations are tax deductable and can be received at the Beverly Hills Police Department care of Beverly Hills Public Safety Adopt A Senior Program.
